Since there's no way I can add a 'mee too' in the bug
database, here it is.

The shortdesc of the entry is selfexplanatory:
call_function("function_name", array args); ala execv()

I, too, consider the ability to call a function with an
array that becomes a list of args really useful. I've run
into a problem recently when this feature would've saved
me lots of time/headache...

see
http://bugs.php.net/bugs.php?id=5350
http://bugs.php.net/bugs.php?id=8076

BTW, a means to put a 'mee too' post in the bug database
could be very useful, because it would allow for (very
rough) measurement of the spread of the bug. Could help
decide which bugs should be fixed first... Also, feature /
change requests could be weighed more easily: I've seen
at least one instance of two requests contradicting each
other.
