    First, there are no deprecated functions in the ctype
    extension. Second, there is no manual for that extension.
    Third, ctype has never been in a PHP release before, so there
    is no precedence and no backwards-compatibility we would have
    to worry about.

    If you want to propose general rules for renaming PHP
    functions, you might want to try to use a more convenient
    format rather than a run-one sentence. =)
