In fact I was very surprised having this announce mail in my folder.
Sascha seems to be using a stealth mode writing ;)
I thought having heard "a last RC will be rolled" out, but maybe I am wrong.
For me, I think the actual releasing process was to quick.

In addition (already mentioned), I think 1) the tarball 2) website and
3) win32 builds should be prepared before releasing too
