In which case it is a misbehaving function not a scripting engine problem.

I dont know.. Hmm seems weird behaviour to me but I dont think we will see
it changed that quickly although I wouldnt mind some explanation of its
current behaviour and why we should/shouldnt change it to default to strict
mode.
