This is not any bug in PHP. Your upgrade to new kernel and glibc has
broken something in your system. (perhaps libresolv.so.2 as the symbol
being wrong version is found in it)

After upgrade to glibc-2.2.1 i can't compile php-4
I try latest (4.0.4pl1) and older.

/usr/bin/ld: .libs/libphp4.so: undefined versioned symbol name __ns_name_unpack@ <email protected>

glibc-2.2.1 kernel 2.4.0
