[PHPDOC] I want some feedback on what to do with the FAQ. From: Martin Edelius (martin.edelius <email protected>)
Date: 05/23/00

Hi.

I'll do a final touchup of the FAQ ( http://www.php.net/FAQ.php ) this
weekend and I'd like some feedback on a couple of things:

- A lot of people suggested that I remove the instructions on how to connect
to specific databases (section 4) as there's very few who uses them, Empress
for instance. I will replace the instructions with links to instructions on
appropriate sites instead. If you have any such links please send them to me
(directly, not to the list please).

- I need more feedback on section 9 of the FAQ; 'PHP and other languages'.
Not only corrections to what's there already but preferably additions as
well.

- I personally feel that section 7; 'Using PHP' and section 10; 'Common
Problems' can and should be one section. Not only is 'Using PHP' a bit too
vague but they cover pretty much the same issues. Thoughts?

- Is there any use of two separate FAQs, one for Win32 OS' and one for all
the other? Is this too much work to be worth it or does the smaller FAQs
outweigh that? I have personally never used PHP on anything else than Linux
so I'm not sure that I'm the right guy to head up an eventual Win32 FAQ so
if this should happen, feel free to volounteer. 8)

That's about it. Please reply directly to me and try to get any ideas and
suggestions to me before the weekend as I'd like to wrap it up by then.

Thanks.

Best regards,
Martin Edelius
