I searched the php web site and could not find any mention of various
ftp sites from which to download the php source. That would be easier on
my Unix machines where I don't normally browse the Web.

I tried to go to ftp.php.net but it complained that the maximum number
of anonymous connections had been made and try again later. It said that
every time for several attempts today (July 4, 2000).
