PCs? Well, I do use a PC, but I run Linux. And no, TTF fonts are not
platform specific. And if you google for verdana.ttf you find all sorts
of Linux-related references to it.

Please read a little bit. 12 pt is just the baseline. Every slide uses a
scaling factor from that.
