I looked also :) The only difference I can see is the formating of the
function prototypes.

Manual: string apache_note (string note_name [, string note_value])
In PDF: string apache_note(string note_name, string [note_value] );

In the manual apache_note is bold and in the PDF note_value is italic
and bold. BTW it was Hartmut who made this possible with DSSSL.
