On the original subject:
I think that in the xml-files, it should say:
vim600: syn=xml
vim: et tw=78 syn=sgml
vi: ts=1 sw=1
Am I correct that with these three lines, syntax=xml overrides syntax=sgml
in the case you have vim6+? In vim5.7, the first line has priority.
And do you possibly have any other comments/additions on these lines? I
checked with vim5 and vi that they work as expected.
(I noticed that vim<600: is IGNORED in version 5.7 of vim. So that line
seems quite useless...)
FYI, I noticed on vim.org that vim 6 is still beta, the latest official
version is 5.8.
