PHP Version: 4.2.1
New Comment:
I tested this with the CGI one, probably it's not a problem with the
CLI.

Is this still valid with the CLI? Or are you talking about the CGI
executable?
(Can't reproduce it with the CLI on Linux)

The same effect is reproduceable with:
php test.php a=b=c
php test.php a;b;c

I have tries the following script (test.php):
<?php var_dump($argv); ?>
With:
php test.php a b c
and the results are:
array(4) {
[0]=>
string(8) "test.php"
[1]=>
string(1) "a"
[2]=>
string(1) "b"
[3]=>
string(1) "c"
}
What was new to me, is that
php test.php a+b+c
produces the same ;) So if this is intentional,
then it should be documented at least ;)
