I feel we should do a little research and come up with a bunch of free
alternatives, create a faq, and link to this faq in pdf/reference.xml

Wouldn't be more interesting that the FREE versions would be
documented, rather the paid ones? We already have two :-)

The only pdf functions contained on php's manual are, not only hard to
install sometimes, but also paid, and none of them are free (on of the
great advantages of php). There is the free pdf classes found at
http://www.ros.co.nz/pdf/ . Wouldn't be interesting that this one also
could be found on documentation? It's where all of us come for finding
this stuff...
