I am really a newbie at this. I have just completed a 'custom' installation of Red Hat 7.1. Upon completion, when I open the package manager, I noticed that PHP, mysql and apache are all in there. I am hoping to install all these and run as a local host (by pinging) or web server.
1)If I can view them, does it mean it has been installed and ready to run PHP using the mysql database?
2) Or do I have to download from php.net here to Red Hat?
3) If I need to do 2), how do I run them initially?
I have no problems doing this under XP as it is a breeze.
Please help.
