Apologies if this is the wrong list to post to!
The company that I am working for is having a hard time finding decent
full-time programmers, so if anybody out there thinks they may be interested
please get in touch. Here are the details...
Neopets.Com was started up in November, and since then, with hardly any
marketing, has grown virally through the internet.... we are now doing 43
million impressions a day, 1.3 million unique users a week, and just rated
#8 in the world for web page traffic (above Geocities, Excite, Altavista,
Netscape and Microsoft... AOL is next!). Since we started we have been
adding hardware nearly every day, and now run on 22 Redhat Linux dual boxes
(for web pages), 9 Linux single processor boxes for images, and a whole host
of databases, APCs, Switches and strangely coloured wires.
The entire site is written in PHP (version 4.0.0), and as I said, its been
hard finding people who really know PHP to help us. We are located in
Glendale, just north of LA, so if are interested in being part of this
Internet startup then please email over a resume. Im afraid that we are
looking only for full time employees. The skills that we are most
interested in is Linux knowledge, PHP, mySQL, Oracle and C.
Thanks a lot for your time,
Adam Powell,
Neopets.Com
