AOLserver offers connection pooling to Oracle built in. There are several
people who run PHP with AOLserver and I believe I once saw a FAQ on how to
install. AOLserver comes with a powerful Tcl interface as well and there is
a great Tcl-based library availble for free from arsdigita.com. Seeing your
numbers, you might want to evaluate to switch to AOLserver (now open source
and free to use too). I'd prefer learning a new server then implementing
connection pooling myself. ;-)
Cheers
