Well how about vi--emacs?? I think what you mean to say is that they
have a long time to go before they are fully workable tools?
Do you think that they will go the way of full php intergration?

Aye... "The Times"! Fear the future when the next release puts a huge
dent in your pocket book.

Bravo! I do the same thing in emacs plus read my mail--check news--view
logs etc:).
