I really dont care if macromedia go to PHP integration
i am not a designer but sometimes i have to use the tools the
designers use. I am not really interested design, but i dont think its
fair to slag a tool just cos its wysiwyg as many have. I am Linux & Windoze
user
under Linux I use VIM. Under windows I use Homsesite, Homsite is far nicer
to use
ans some 3rd party extenmsions make it the bets tool i have seen for PHP
I wouldnt be without my Linux box. Maybe after Kylix is released we will se
some
nice tools ported to X and then i can kiss windows good bye (yay).

My point is not trying step on peoples feet for using their fav tools.
Use the tool your comfortable with. I am in a company where there are mostly
designers
and the company pays for the software (which is tax deductable anyway) so
price is not
issue really.

These debates on this list tend get people fired up a bit too much.
I used to code all my HTML by hand. But if it takes a few minutes in
Dreamweaver
to build something then a few minutes to clean it up by hand thats probably
a half hour
i have saved to put back into PHP/MySQL.

All said and done each to there own, but those out there who go about
slagging people
off for using particular tool, should keep it to themsleves since they are
not uselful comments.

another note i have some 3rd party extentions for Dreamwever that iconize
PHP code in the wysiwyg
and also allow you to drop in PHP code. But the editor still leaves much to
be desired hence i dont use it
I'' look for the site i got them from and post the links of anyone is
interested.

Well how about vi--emacs?? I think what you mean to say is that they
have a long time to go before they are fully workable tools?
Do you think that they will go the way of full php intergration?

Aye... "The Times"! Fear the future when the next release puts a huge
dent in your pocket book.

Bravo! I do the same thing in emacs plus read my mail--check news--view
logs etc:).
