Hello,
As I wrote in the topic I can't make PHP4 work for me. Right now I use
Redhat 6.1, Apache 1.3.9, PHP3 3.0.12 and PostgreSQL 7.0.0 and it all works
very well. I wanted to install PHP4 (accordingly to instructions from
tarball) as Apache dynamic module. Configuration, compilation and
instalation went OK, then I made the proper modifications to Apache
configuration files (I also commented lines that had something to do with
PHP3), restarted Apache and ... when I want to open a php file in my
browser, "save/open" dialog comes up.
I think that for some reason Apache doesn't make php interpretation and
sends the file as-is. The only strange thing I found in logs is this:
[notice] suEXEC mechanism enabled (wrapper: /usr/sbin/suexec)
and I'm quite sure that it has something to do with PHP4.
One more information that might help - I use Apache installed from RPM, I
didn't compile it manually.
Can you help me with this?
