Ok:
It turns out that PHP tries to "figure out" if you've already got a
connection opened to a
particular server, and if so, it returns that connection ID instead of a
new one.
It does this by hashing the connection parameters, and doing a lookup.
SO, when I changed my
nested connector to :
$conn = pg_Connect("127.0.0.1", $PORT, "", "", $DATABASE);
I got a different hash value, and therefore a new connection id, and it
worked.
Of course, I'd rather not have to "hack" the pgsql implementation to
make my apps work...(or would I? hehe)
anyway - has anyone else experienced a problem with this?
