[PHP3] 4000 chars max for LONG ?? (Oracle 8) From: kev (kevin.porter <email protected>)

Hi,

When I try and insert a story of more than 4000 chars into an Oracle
LONG datatype, I get this error:

"...ORA 01704 - String litereal too long in..."

Has anyone found a way round this?
I believe there is a PL/SQL solution. Can I execute PL/SQL via
PHP/Oracle?
