I've written a pretty simple e-card script, though I've sold it so I don't
htink I can give you the source. But basically all I (php wise, not
display wise look at http://www.e-caf.com/e-cards for that).
Problems I had was first sending the full card to them, i.e. they get an
email showing the picture and message, but I wasn't sure if hotmail, yahoo
etc. could deal with it properly or some people have non-html mail
programs, and I couldn't figure out how to send the pictures.

What I ended up doing was sending a notification email with a link to a
created page displaying the message and picture.
Also whenever a card is sent, it runs a script to delete any cards 2 weeks
old.
