I have a search engine on the offline manual (on disk) working with
UltraEdit, that gives the line numbers of anything you can look for. It only
applies for windoze for the moment but it seems that UE will be available
for Linux one of these days.

I agree with Gregor. Although I have a printed copy of the manual, I often
find it faster to do an online search fo the manual.

My opinion is:
it should be enough to give the section/command, because other people
also have brains....and speaking only for me: I have other things to do,
than looking up url's in the net (doesn't the majority use an offline-copy
of the manual?)
an asker should be happy to get an answer, and should not try to let the
others do his work.
