[PHPLIB-DEV] Should the cvs version currently work? From: ak <email protected>

Hi!

I made a cvs update today, after I looked into the mailing list
before. I had the impression, that it is not currently broken, but
there are quiet some problems.

I just wanted to check on this, maybe I missed something obvious.

Another thing pops up in my mind: As the development goes on there
will exist revisions, that basically will work but are in alpha or
beta state. But sometimes the revision will not work at all, because
of major changes, etc. (as it seems now).

Wouldn't it be more useful to introduce new revisions of files, that
break the code for some time, at a side branch, instead of the main
trunk? When they reach alpha state, they could be merged back on the
head.

This would make it more useful for people like me, who are willing to
do alpha testing and probably fixing, but do not have the time to
develop new code.
