Jade etc. is written in C++, so you probably need to play with
compiler options to get decent speed.

IIRC it took my old Alpha 21164a with 633 MHz and 256MB RAM about
six minutes to create the HTML docs. The integer speed of a
P3-500 should be at least comparable, so I'd be surprised, if you
are not able to make it run faster.
