no interest ?? as far as i can see, this patch was request
requested by various people but noone had the time to write it.
now, the patch is written and will go into the cvs within the
next days.

as you are subscribed to the developer list, you see what is
going on in the cvs.
- IT(X)
- TableProxy
- new DB abtraction
- ...

i don't think that the phplib is 'dead'.
