Hi Kristian,
your explanation about logos and CI really hit the spot. I totally agree.
I also like the green phplib logo, and although I understand that...

... I could not resist to throw in my 2 cents:

True. But I think that this design is still a little bit _too_ close to the
original PHP logo. Not much, just a tiny bit... Unfortunately I'm not that adept
at creating graphics either, so I can't express very precisely what I mean.
Maybe it's the fact that this particular green is IMHO still to close to the
"PHP blue"... Additionally, humans tend to distinguish form better than colors.
So, maybe just a little change in the form, i.e. the outline of the logo would
be nice. For instance: Why not putting the small oval containing the "lib" on
the _bottom_ right of the large oval - instead of the _top_ right corner...
Another idea which came to my mind is to have the word "base" (or better "base
library") spelled out somewhere. Maybe beneath to logo itself, somehow "melted"
with the big oval...So that it really forms a "base" (or "basis" for the PHP
oval)?
But let's stop this... I'm getting carried away... ;-)
CU,
Manuel
