[PHPLIB] php3.ini file not being parsed From: Davis, Ricardo C. (RCDavis <email protected>)

[RH Linux 6.1, Apache 1.3.9, PHP 3.0.12, phplib_7]

I'm still relatively new with Linux. Apache's up. I changed the php3.ini
file in /usr/local/lib by adding "auto_prepend_file
/home/httpd/phplib/prepend.php3" and "include_path .:/home/httpd/phplib". I
restarted Apache then loaded the page info.php3 which has only "<?php
phpinfo()?>" in it. The configuration variables where not changed! I
rebooted the system and tried again...no change!

I checked the permissions of the php3.ini file (all have read permissions).
Help!
