o LDAP is good for the white-pages of an organization; and,
IMSP was designed to be more user addressbook oriented.
o IMSP is in php3, but it is absent from php4.
o IMSP has been superceded by ACAP .. which isn't in either
php3 nor php4.
o Turba for horde-imp addressbook is beginning with LDAP;
and, eventually, I presume the other phplib abstraction containers.
o I noticed CMU has a new ACAPD working with Bell's SML ..
and the older C implementation is still around.
o Might horde-imp find ACAP a suitable bottom-up addressbook and
preferences container without the heavy LDAP top-down way?
o Anyone know if ACAP will be added as a php3 function or
php4 ext?
o If added to phpN, might it be added to phplib?
