I am sure that this is in a FAQ or similar, but i can't figure out if the gc_ probability is in percent or in a 1/x fashion?

In fact, i cant seem to get gc working at all, i have a session defined with time 0, and have tried gc_prob of both 1 and 99 and i sitll have 57 entries in my active sessions, some of which are 12hours old? and i know someof them to be inactive since the computer i used has been physically dismantled :)

What am i missing?
