Reflecting about storing blob's data in an XML representation, i figured
aout that, you end somehow with saving a lot of I/O if you had to
accomplish the same by having, probably, a lot of open (in update)
tables, concurrency and whatever.

Dumping an XML string in a single I/O
operation can be a lot more fast....

Add to this the faculty of having a great online, real time analysis
tool on user
choices...
