[PHPLIB] session sample hangs From: Matthias Weh (weh <email protected>)

Hello,

I'm quite new to PHPLIB. When testing the installation, I encountered an
error with the sample "application" of the distribution.
When starting the index.php3 (from the distribution's pages/ directory)
in my browser, nothing appeared in my browser(Netscape Navigator 4.05),
but the message "Connect: Host weegee.feinarbeit.de contacted. Waiting
for Reply ..." flickers in the status bar. And after some time, the
following message appears in my browser:

"
Request-URI Too Large

The requested URL's length exceeds the capacity limit for this server.

request failed: URI too long
"

Then I had a look into Netscape's history.db file, and there I found the
following lines, which appear to be URL's:

Internet Explorer did the "flickering" in the status bar, too, and ended
up with "This page cannot be displayed" etc.pp.

This can't be right, can it? I assume a connection between this URL and
the error, but can anybody tell me what I might have done wrong? I only
changed the Host and Database members of the DB_Example class and left
everything else unchanged (I, of course, created the database and tables
required by PHPLIB).

We have PHP 3.0.12, PHPLIB 7.2, and MySQL 3.22.27 installed.
