If your web host supports php and a database, then it supports PHPLIB. All
you have to do is manually include prepend.php3 into all of your pages that
use PHPLIB. If you can't do that, check out missoulaweb.com, which I'm
currently using, and phpwebhosting.com. They're great deals.

Who has the light?

I would love to use PHPLIB, but my provider apparently doesnt allow it - or
do i simply get things wrong? No way with my provider as I understand.

I do not have access to the php.ini and - what the hell is the filename of
the "php-interpreter"other than php.exe? There is nothing like that in my
cgi-directory as noted in another reply of Christian Köhntopp.

Does anybody else use PHPLIB with www-service.de (verio), which I could
recommend otherwise?

Who can recommend providers supporting phplib under unix with php3(and
possibly 4beta)?
