i case you don't know which trains/tubes to take:
a tube map

[heathrow airport]
take heathrow express [http://www.heathrowexpress.co.uk/] to paddington
should take 15 minutes, trains leave every 15 minutes
[paddigton stn.]
take circle(yellow) or district(green) line to victoria stn. (7 stops)
probably takes 20 to 30 minutes
[victoria stn.]
take gatwick express [http://www.gatwickexpress.co.uk/] to gatwick
airport
should take 30 minutes, trains leave every 15 minutes
just give me a call when you are there and i will come and meet you for
a coffee (two stops to vicoria stn. from oxford circus)
try to check-in yor luggage to your final destination you will have a
more pleasant journey in london without carrying all your luggage ;-)
