RE: [phplib] How to install on shared server? From: Jorge Martinez (jorge.martinez <email protected>)

Hi there:

You may not be able to install phplib in a shared server if you do not have
access,
or right to modify, the php.ini file (you need to be root to do that, I am
assuming
you are not). You can look for a provider that offers phplib as a standard
feature.
I know of one that does, give it a try if you wish... but don't blame if it
doesn't
work out for you ;)

Hope this helps.

Jorge M.

Subject: [phplib] How to install on shared server?

I have an account on a shared server, and I was wondering
if PHPLib can be installed on it, and if so, how? The documentation
says to look at Chapter 2 for full instructions, but it doesn't
seem to cover it. Can anyone help? The server runs php3 module,
not CGI, but I can't edit any php.ini or httpd.conf files, since
it is a shared server. thanks.
