Hi,

I too have just upgraded to php 4.0.2 and encountered the same
"pass-by-reference" errors as previously described. So, I thought I'd check
out the latest development version of phplib to see if this has been
addressed.

Well, it seems there are quite a few changes, but the one that's causing me
the problems is the db/db_sql file which tries to inherit from a
DB_Generic_SQL method which doesn't seem to exist anywhere. Is this
something that really is in development, ie has not been written yet? Is
there a mailing list for the development version?
