Hi Brian
Unfortunately, my site is with a hosting company, and therefore I have no
means of altering either their apache or php.ini config files. However I
have tried to make my site mimic their setup as much as I can. I do not use
Auto_prepend, but include prepend.php3 on every page. I have examined
phpinfo() reports from both my local and hosted site.
The only difference I can find is on the first section of phpinfo(), the two
options are virtual directory support, and thread safety. On My local site
both of these are enabled, but on the hosted site both are disabled. Not
sure if this would cause a problem, and can't seem to find any doc's
mentioning the two options. Not even sure if their apache or php related.

Hi Ian,
Did you configure apache properly? I mean, i'm guessing you didn't use
auto_prepend_file. In PHP4 the sessions would still work, but not the Auth.
