Looking at what is happening on PEAR, I'm inclined to favor a
continuation of PHPlib as a separated project, too.

Up now however I've had some regret to volunteer for doing some
work myself, part because I have very little time available, part
because even if I use PHPlib extensively my practice is confined to
the core classes (i.e. I use only db, sess, perm, auth and user).

This said, I'll do what I can to help... included, for the moment,
giving my support to Chris that, IMHO, has presented his
candidature in the most correct way!
