RE: [phplib] PHPLIB Release 7.2d plans From: Chris Johnson (chris <email protected>)

My initial guess on what we should do is to fix the known bugs and make
sure all works with PHP3 and PHP4 in a 7.2d release. It would be based
on the 7.2c release. That work should not take very long. Once it is
complete, we could talk about a 7.3 or 8.0 release based on the HEAD
branch with new development and/or redesign, as you suggest.

Does that seem reasonable to all?

..chris

Hello Chris,

Is the release the plan is to simply incorporate bugfixes or to add some
new functionality?
Since the base of the 7.2d is actually the 7.2c code (php-lib-stable), I
suppose
it should be a bugfix release. If the new stuff to be added, I thought
it would
be better to work on HEAD branch - the library needs some redesign,
and many things in this direction have been already done in the HEAD.
I personally do and would like to improve the current (php-lib)
branch. Guess it won't take long to clean up the mess there. So we
could release the long-awaited PHPLib 8.
