I found my own problem.
nothing to do with phplib.
the server was restarted, and the hardware clock was not set for
Daylight Savings, so it was a hour slow. My cookies expire in half an
hour, so they always come up expired.
this only seemed to affect certain versions of IE, and Netscape 6.
thanks

Subject: [phplib] RE: cookies not being set
I see the include to the header page in
function auth_loginform() , but are new headers being sent anywhere with
the login page?
my problem is I can set cookies manually with SetCookie() with php on
non-phplib() pages and on phplib pages.
are new headers being sent with the login page?
where is the session cookie being written?
If the cookie isn't set the first time, is there anyway to force it
later?
what would cause the cookie not to get set?
thanks
