Hi Folks,
I have been asked to develop a complex site for a client,
with authentication, sessions, e-commerce, etc. etc.
The client insists that the server is Windows 2000
with II5 and Microsoft SQL server 2000. For various
political reasons, there is no hope of persuading this
client to use another platform.
To date my company has concentrated on developing
with PHP and MySQL on Apache/BSD. We are very
happy with the combination and can put complex
sites together quickly with it.
What do we do? Is it really possible to develop a
significant web site with PHP on an all Microsoft
setup? Anyone any experience with this? It's
potentially a fantastic contract and I really don't
want to say no. Help!
James Johnson
