You are welcome to write a point-and-click installation program for it. The
developers usually prefer fixing bugs in the meantime, I think.

It's not a library, it's a set of classes. It's basically a set of PHP
files that you just 'include' into your own. Nothing outside gets touched
and you don't _really_ have to edit your Apache configuration (it helps
though, makes things easier).
