Of course. I am consequently using it and in my PHP
trainings for advanced PHP programmers the main focus
is on PHPLIB (Session, Auth, Templates, DB_SQL, OOHForms).

I don't think that this would be a good idea. Why
moving? Currently on phplib.netuse.de there's all
what you need? Mailing lists, CVS stuff.
