Read the archives at http://marc.theaimsgroup.com/ for phplib and
pear-general pear-dev for January and March. There were two large flame-
fests resulting in very litte agreement on anything.

Last week I asked once and for all if phplib as it is now, would be put
into PEAR, and the answer was "not really, at least not till the pear
installer is working".
