I hope nothing I said would be construed as "dogma" from a "dogmatic"
regime. My comments about PHPLIB concerning PEAR are meant to promote a
constructive dialogue. I think at the moment, PEAR needs to clarify its own
mission and has some problems in defining itself clearly. I think at this
stage PHPLIB stands a lot to gain if it was part of PEAR, and PEAR likewise
would stand a lot to gain if they allowed such things to happen. Maybe even
working together would help better define PEAR and perhaps in the end
provide better code for everyone!
I however, if nothing else, would definitely welcome a new updated release
of PHPLIB with extremely wide open arms, and while I am perhaps not one to
contribute much in the way of code, I am willing to help with documentation
and copy for PHPLIB. So if anyone has any ideas or knows of how I might be
able to contribute to this seemingly renewed breath of fresh air in PHPLIB's
development, please don't hesitate to let me know!
