[phplib] How to access MS Access data base directly using phplib From: Marko Kaening (Marko.Kaening <email protected>)

Hi,

I am developing a database application solely under LAMP, but
unfortunately I have to access a MS Access database lately. I am new to
this absolute, so is my question: Is it possible to access a MS Access
database from Linux? Either by accessing the database files directly from
the Linux system, or by making a connection to Windows comp running an MS
server. I personally would prefer a solution where I could access the
database through its files, since this is actually the way it seems to be
handled by MS Access applications running here.

I understood that ODBC should be the tool of choice, but this seems to be
working only with a server... Or am I wrong?

Anyone can help?
