The apache install process is pretty smart. If you tell it to install over an
existing apache installation it preserves existing files and directories.
Thus, it will not destroy your files and it also saves httpd.conf and other
config files. You might just want to be safe and backup your config files, but
I do know for a fact that it preserves the other directories like 'htdocs' and
etc so I assume (you know what that means) that it will also preserve
configs...
