RE: [PHP] (was:A kewl Script....) LOOK WHAT IT BECAME! From: Maxim Maletsky \(PHPBeginner.com\) (php-general <email protected>)

Hi Matt,

Who originated the script?

At first there was a guy (I assume it was a guy) called Tshering Norbu,
I know only his name, no email. He had this idea but had no PNG support
on his server so he posted it here for some of us to try.

Then Rasmus threw up a few ideas and with his power there were other
guys playing with it.

I then liked the version of Chris Lee '<lee <email protected>>' and I
took a few hours and have rewritten "The Kewl Script" almost from
scratch, or better from that base.

The problem in Criss's version was the load time. PNG logo, for instance
was taking about 1.4 Mb and IE was half frozen.

What I did is I added a compression algorithm to it (the PNG LOGO takes
now only 430k) and more dynamicity. So this is the result - from here we
can go.

I will be developing it further, so anyone who makes changes, please
give some of them to me and we will all come up with something useful.

zoom 100% loaded very nicely in Mozilla for Linux. Looks real good. I
tried
zoom 200% and after a long wait it showed the pic zoomed at about 2000%

Who originated this script, at least the version that got started here
today?
I'm going to be making a website and I thought this might be a cool
effect if
used lightly in some places.
