[PHP] Get current date and time From: Martin Kampherbeek (m.kampherbeek <email protected>)

I have a date and time in my database like this 2001-09-30 02:37:01

Now I want to check if this one is lower then the current date and time. But
how do I get the current date and time?

And do I check it like: where time < currenttime?
