Hi People

My name is Duncan and i am new to the list, so hi. I have about a year
experience working on Linux and even less on sun, and that's me in a nut
shell

now. I have been trying to get php5 install on a solaris 5.9 box with
the following config

./configure --prefix=/usr/apache/php5/ --with-apxs=/usr/apache/bin/apxs
--with-config-file-path=/usr/apache/php5/ --with-pgsql=/usr/local/pgsql
--enable-fastcgi --enable-libgcc --disable-libxml --enable-session

but i keep getting the following error when i try to make

ld: fatal: file ext/ctype/ctype.lo: unknown file type
ld: fatal: File processing errors. No output written to .libs/libphp5.so
make: *** [libphp5.la] Error 1

I am using the default solaris 5.9 apache 1.3.29
and gcc 2.95.3,REV=2002.03.27.20.41

any help would be appreciated
