Jim and everyone,

Yep... Of course, you can always add the appropriate .htaccess lines if you want to
install your own PHP binary. I've asked about making it an Apache module, but they
say that it is too cumbersome on the server or something (uses too much memory).. Is
this not true?

I believe you're right. Caused a few problems with missing functions, but it was
ok.

Yeah. Sometimes it's a pain because you want the newest and best. But, they test
everything thoroughly, so when it is up, like you said, it's rock solid (I've been
beta testing MySQL for a few months.. And BTW, the problem is not MySQL or PHP, from
what I hear it's problems with Perl. My PHP/MySQL combinations have worked 100% of
the time no problems whatsoever)...
pair's cheap, support's good (I don't know what everyone complains about. I've never
had *any* problems), the equipment is top of the line, they have three DS-3, etc.
What else could ya want??
www.pair.com (and no, I'm not a pair employee and I don't gain anything if people
sign up, I just happen to think they're a great web hosting service)..
